Today we have a bestiary page done in research by Lucian Thorn. Lucian is a close friend of the head librarian, Prince Ilric, but apparently having friends in high places has not stopped him from traipsing about the countryside researching, sketching, and following animals around.
In his report back to the library he made sure to include that the phoenix that he used for this sketch nearly killed him because he got too close to the nest. I should have thought he would have been more wary, going into Acwelan as he did in order to find this phoenix. But nevertheless, I suppose the adventure may have been worth it. Phoenixes are, indeed, magical creatures to behold, I have been told.
At any rate, here is the page he sent back to the library. I should hope that the next time he comes to the library in person, he leaves the dirt and leaves outside instead of tracking them inside as he is apt to do.
